Privacy policy.

NetHourly is a calculator, not a payroll processor. The numbers you type stay in your browser. This page explains what we do and do not collect, and how analytics and advertising may use cookies.

Last updated: October 27, 2026

Overview

NetHourly.com provides free US pay, overtime, 24-hour shift, and hourly wage calculators. You do not need an account to use them. We do not ask for your name, Social Security number, bank account, payroll stub, or employer login. The calculator inputs you enter — such as an hourly rate or hours worked — are processed in your browser.

This policy covers the website and its pages. It does not cover a third-party site you reach by clicking an external link. Read that site's privacy policy before submitting information there.

What we collect

We collect limited technical information that web servers and analytics tools normally receive:

  • Browser type, device type, operating system, and screen size.
  • Pages viewed, referring pages, and approximate location derived from IP address.
  • Date and time of a request, and basic server log data.
  • Aggregated usage data, such as which calculators are opened or which links are clicked.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information. Please do not send us Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, full payroll stubs, medical information, or other sensitive records through email or a contact form.

Calculator data stays in your browser

The pay, overtime, 24-hour shift, and wage calculators run client-side. The numbers you enter are used to render the result on your screen. NetHourly does not store those inputs in a database, attach them to an account, or sell them. If you refresh the page, the calculator resets unless your browser or a future feature explicitly saves a preference.

Do not enter personal identifiers. The calculators only need numbers such as an hourly rate and hours worked. They do not need your name, employee ID, or employer account.

Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser. NetHourly may use cookies and similar technologies for basic site functionality, analytics, and advertising. Some cookies are set by third parties, not by NetHourly. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work as expected.

Cookies may be used to:

  • Remember a preference or improve page performance.
  • Measure aggregate traffic and understand which pages are useful.
  • Serve and measure advertising, including limiting repeated ads.

Analytics

We may use Google Analytics or a similar analytics service to understand aggregate site usage. Analytics tools may collect a cookie identifier, pages viewed, approximate location, browser information, and interactions such as clicks. We use this data to fix broken pages and improve calculator content, not to identify you personally.

Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga and _gid. You can learn about Google's data practices and opt out of analytics through the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-onand Google's Privacy Policy.

Advertising and Google AdSense

NetHourly may display advertising through Google AdSense or other advertising partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie for ads served on publisher sites. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choicesor Network Advertising Initiative choices.

Opting out of personalized advertising does not mean you will stop seeing ads. It means the ads may be less relevant to your interests. Ad partners may still set a cookie to limit repeated ads or measure performance.

How we use information

We use limited technical and aggregate information to:

  • Operate, maintain, and secure the site.
  • Understand which calculators and guides are used.
  • Improve page speed, content, and accessibility.
  • Measure advertising performance and prevent abuse.
  • Respond to messages you send us.

We do not use calculator inputs to make employment, credit, housing, insurance, or medical decisions about you.

Sharing

We may share aggregate or technical data with service providers that help us host the site, measure traffic, or serve ads. These providers process data under their own policies and contracts. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the site or its users, or in connection with a merger or sale of the site.

We do not sell the calculator inputs you enter. We do not have a payroll database to sell.

Retention

Server logs and analytics data are retained for a limited period and then deleted or aggregated. Retention periods depend on the service provider and on security or legal needs. Calculator inputs are not retained by NetHourly because they are not sent to our servers.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect the site, including HTTPS. No website is perfectly secure, and no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Because the calculators run in your browser, the best protection is to avoid entering personal identifiers into any calculator.

Children's privacy

NetHourly is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
  • Use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on linked above.
  • Adjust personalized ads in Google Ads Settings.
  • Use browser privacy controls or an ad blocker.
  • Email us to ask a question about this policy or request deletion of a message you sent.

If you are in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Contact us and describe your request. We may need to verify that we hold information about you before acting.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site, analytics, or advertising changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
